How to play Golf Solitaire

Try a deliberate move

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Remove all 35 tableau cards. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. The example below illustrates a decision.

Step by step

1. Take an exposed bottom card one rank above or below the waste top, allowing ace–king wrapping.
2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
3. Draw when useful.
4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A useful example

Waste queen accepts jack or king. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Choose a deliberate next step.
