How to play Visual Memory

Start Visual Memory by looking at the playing area and its controls. Select every square that was shown. Selecting an unshown square ends the session. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Read the objective before making your first input. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Keep the aim in sight

Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Select every square that was shown. Selecting an unshown square ends the session. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Start with a deliberate move.

Step by step

  1. Start a round and watch the highlighted cells.
  2. Wait until the board hides the pattern.
  3. Select the positions you remember; order does not matter.
  4. Complete the pattern to advance.

Controls

Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

A useful example

If the four corner squares were shown, select those four corners in any order. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

Unlike Sequence Memory, this game does not require the original order. Check the rule before repeating the action. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
