How to play Yukon Solitaire
Make Yukon Solitaire your next activity in the game library. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Use the example below to understand a decision.
One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
Read before acting
Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.
Step by step
- Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Look at the feedback after the action.
A useful example
A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Check the stated objective.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
